My second assignment for my photojournalism class was to capture a photo that shows emotion. Many of my peers chose to photograph rallies, or events, but I wanted to go simpler. I decided to head over to Rec Skate at the university's ice rink. At the ice rink, I knew I would find a wide range of emotions, everything from frustration to happiness to timidity. The rink ended up being a great spot to shoot! I was able to follow a teenage girl and her group of friends as they spent their Tuesday evening skating. One of the best shots I got was the one below, an image of the girl and her friend recovering from a fall and laughing it off.
